AfricanBio Medical Tests Ltd (AMT) is a provider of specialized molecular diagnostics in Nigeria.

What kind of tests do you offer?

AMT provides specialized tests based on molecular biology testing using DNA, RNA, or proteins. These tests are more accurate than regular methods or in so cases are the only way to reliably test for some medical diseases and conditions covering cancer, STDs, tuberculosis, paternity DNA testing and newborn screening.

A. We provide molecular tests for 10 types of cancer as follows:

Bladder Cancer, Brain Cancer, Breast Cancer, Colon Cancer, Gastric (Stomach) Cancer, Kidney Cancer, Liver Cancer, Lung Cancer, Ovarian Cancer and Prostate Cancer

B. We also provide molecular testing for STDs as follows:

Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HCV, Hepatitis, HIV Viral Load, HPV and Syphilis

C. Paternity DNA Testing

We provide testing to determine paternity using saliva samples.

D. Newborn Screening

We offer two panels for newborn baby screening:
Economy Panel: Sickle Cell Disease (SS, SC), HbE, Beta-Thalassemia, Congenital Hypothyroidism, Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase and Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia.
Standard Panel Sickle Cell Disease (SS, SC), HbE, Beta-Thalassemia, Galactosemia, Congenital Hypothyroidism, Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase, Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia, Phenylketonuria, Biotinidase Deficiency and Cystic Fibrosis

How much do these tests cost?

The current prices of our specialized molecular tests range from ₦35,000 for economy panel newborn screening to ₦192,000 for cancer test. We offer promotional pricing of 20% until May 31, 2023. Details of prices are shown in the customer dashboard after creating account and logging in.

What is early sign up?

We offer 20% off to those who sign up now. The discount is good through May 31, 2023. Completing the form gives you a code by email that can be used to get 20% discount when used before May 31, 2023.

Where do you collect samples?

We have approved sample collection centers around the country. You can find one near you after registration and payment for test.

How do I pay to get tested?

Payment can be made online through the customer dashboard by debit card or bank transfer.

How do I get my results?

Test results are available in the Patient Access Portal when customer signs into the dashboard. From there results can be downloaded or forwarded to your doctor.

How long to get results?

This typically takes 6 – 8 weeks for our standard service for cancer but can be sooner for express service. Other tests take less, typically 3 – 4 weeks.

What if the test is positive?

We maintain a roster of specialist doctors who patients are referred to for specialist care and follow-up.

How safe is my data?

Our website and portals are protected by 128-bit SSL encryption, the strongest data protection protocol available and also follows all policies, procedures, and standards of Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

Where does the testing get done?

Testing is done in ISO- certified accredited laboratories in Nigeria.
